Additional Information About the Course
The SMSTS course held in Essex is fully accredited. SMSTS which is Site Manager Safety Training Scheme is a 5 day health & safety course for the construction, engineering, demolition, hire, chemical, landscaping and design industries as well as many others.
The course awarding body is CSkills and therefore comes under the banner of Site Safety Plus.
You will have the opportunity to learn risk assessments, method statements, health & safety responsibilities, a site management plan as well as CDM regulations and other health and safety aspects of site work which would be relevant for the HSE (Health & Safety Executive).
Upon completion, students will receive a accredited SMSTS Qualification, which lasts 5 years. After the 5 years, students can take a 2 day refresher course, which extends the qualification for a further 5 years.
